Anamaria is an Romanian actor. She was awarded the British Academy Television Award Best actress for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. She is fluent in French, German English, as well as Romanian. Her mother is professional violinist. She played an actress from Romania in Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 luni3 3 days (four months 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days) which was awarded The Palme d'Or and other prizes at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. She also appeared as a character in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. She was also in 2008 as Yasim Anwar in the BBC Five-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca performed as Yasim in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, as well as Boogie, the Romanian Drama Boogie.
